Available in a handy 3-ounce tube, White 3M Marine Adhesive Sealant 4200 Fast Cure from Bakes Marine is a one-part, general all-purpose polyurethane that chemically reacts with moisture. This 3M marine adhesive sealant delivers flexible bonds with good adhesion to wood, fiberglass, gelcoat, plastics and metals.

Sometimes you have to make quick fixes on your boat while out on the water. But you will want to take it apart later when you are back on land to make a more permanent repair. That’s where this product can be a lifesaver.

Useful for a variety of emergency repairs as well as maintenance projects, 3M Marine Sealant 4200 can be an important part of your boat’s tool kit. It forms watertight, weather-resistant seals on joints and boat hardware above or below the waterline. 3M Fast Cure 4200 is approximately half the strength of 3M Marine Adhesive Sealant 5200, which allows for disassembly of parts. That means you can do a temporary repair and then take apart the pieces later and make a permanent repair with new replacement parts. It’s also a good idea for adhesive applications where you might want to make an upgrade or change in the future.

If you are working on plastics, first test this sealant to determine suitability. When very high strength or unremovable bonds are required, use 3M Marine Adhesive/Sealant 5200 .

3M 4200 Fast Cure Sealant is not recommended for sealing wood decks because certain teak cleaners or sealers may permanently soften it.
